I was selected as a Space Gala Scholar in 2025, so I put together the application, important details, and all the advice I wish every applicant knew. 🥹

Wait… a SPACE Gala?! 🚀
The Space Gala is Reinvented Magazine's annual celebration of the STEM and space community, an evening centered around networking, celebration, and community.
Reinvented is a nonprofit focused on changing the perception of women in STEM and inspiring more young women to see themselves in STEM.

The main Gala and the after-party are at two different locations. Make sure you can get to both if you plan to attend the full evening.

"I attended as a Space Gala Scholar in 2025, when the Gala itself was held at Kennedy Space Center. I got to party with astronauts, meet incredible women in STEM, and make friendships I still have today. 🥹🚀"
The 2026 main Gala is not at Kennedy Space Center. Only the after-party is.

Okay… so what is a Space Gala Scholar? 💫
Thanks to sponsors and donors, Reinvented is offering approximately ~20 Space Gala Scholar tickets to students who might otherwise be unable to afford admission.
The Scholars Program is designed to help make sure financial barriers do not prevent passionate STEM students from participating in the Space Gala.

This is an admission scholarship,
NOT a fully funded travel scholarship.
Before applying, make sure you could realistically attend the event in Florida on November 7, 2026 if selected.

The published 2026 Space Gala Scholars eligibility criteria do NOT list a U.S. citizenship or permanent residency requirement.
The application asks where you would be traveling from, and the published eligibility criteria focus on your age, college enrollment, interest in STEM, underrepresented-group identity, and previous Scholar status.
One more thing 🚀
Previous 2025 Space Gala Scholars cannot receive the award again.
However, previous applicants who applied but were NOT selected are encouraged to apply again. 💗
